I took a look at the other reviews here, and honestly, you can skip the shiny 4- and 5-star ones — they all sound like the same scripted management jargon. The real story is in the 1- and 2-star reviews from people who’ve already left. It’s the same nightmare repeated over and over: verbal abuse as an everyday thing, getting fired after one of management’s childish meltdowns, and grinding incredibly hard for months or even years only to get passed over for promotions you clearly earned. The list just keeps going. I still remember one meltdown where someone in upper management completely lost it over a broken $200 computer monitor — screaming and threatening to fire anyone who knew what happened. Even if you think your manager is in your corner, don’t count on it. They’re either actively contributing to the bullying culture or staying quiet out of fear for their own jobs. Management will smile, and tell you what a great employee you are, and then stab you in the back over the smallest inconvenience. Makse Group is full of double standards and contradictions. When the heating broke in the Denver office and it was freezing, they still made everyone sit there shivering while the bosses worked comfortably from home. One week they say “you’re on the fast track for a promotion,” and the next it’s “let’s pause that for 3-6 months” — right after you’ve poured your heart into the work. They play favorites so obviously it’s ridiculous — some people get invited to every meeting while others on the same team get completely left out. Bottom line: know exactly what you’re walking into. The job starts with a laundry list of big promises that quickly turn into straight-up lies. You’ll deal with verbal abuse, broken commitments, and a revolving door of people quitting or getting fired. There are dozens (probably hundreds) of ex-employees on LinkedIn who will tell you the same story. I’m really glad I got out and found a company that actually values its people and gives real job security. Looking back, this place felt like it had negative job security. Even if you only feel like you have 0.1% security at your current job, it will still feel 50 times more secure than working at Makse Group.
