Pros

In general, really good day to day colleagues- worker bee level includes smart people who really do care. Certain departments are well run. Decent work life balance. I appreciate the move in the last 5 or so years to establishing things like pay bands- though promotions are still very subjectively awarded.

Cons

At the end, I found the Executive Management Team to be ineffectual and pretty toxic. After Tetra Tech bought MSI, MSI slowly lost its culture- what made it different from other big contractors is gone at this point. It's all about winning awards. Tetra Tech is all about shareholders and profit. The staff benefits have been reduced following the TT acquisition, salaries are lower than many of the competitors and benefits are not on par, and as you move up in rank, the inefficient hoop jumping and day to day changing authorities increase. I do not believe in the management team at all at this point.

Pros

There are some nice people working here. Nice view at the office. Used to be very dynamic place. Work / life balance is good.

Cons

Two rounds of layoffs in recent years have set the tone for the company under Tetra Tech. Morale has tanked and unhealthy competition among staff for LOE has resulted. Nobody feels secure in their job, and most seem to expect more layoffs soon. The fact that the last round of layoffs happened during the same year as Tetra Tech decided on some 117 million dollars in stock buybacks tells you most of what you need to know about the company's values. Very little room for advancement. Most people languish in the same position for as long as they stay with MSI.

Pros

Decent experience for entry-level positions in the industry, but you will grow out of your position within 2 years. no opportunity for technical experience or career growth.

Cons

Toxic environment, and lots of cliques where technical directors and senior management have favorites. TD’s bully junior level staff, and I was the recipient of a number unprofessional emails and interactions.
