Pros

The Manipal Group has a Brand Name having National and International branches. The infrastructure is awesome. The bathrooms are clean. The entire building is Air Conditioned. The class rooms, halls, etc are fully AC. You will be provided with Cubicles / Work Stations (and not offices/rooms). Salary: The University follows a three-tier system. The Engineering Branch is highest paid. Next comes the Management branch. The lowest paid is Commerce, Arts, Languages & Law branch who get an initial pay of 31000Rs in hand (37500 CTC) although it is claimed that you get UGC Pay Scale of 15600 and 6000 Grade Pay. Some employees work part time, still get full salary, depending upon how they negotiated at the time of interview. If you have three years teaching experience, you might get 44000 CTC (including deductions of 6 thousand for EPF, Faculty Club, Insurance, Medical, etc) The timings are 9am to 5pm strictly. The Biometric will be installed within a few months. There are cabs to drop you to Jaipur at around 5000Rs. They stress a lot on publications. You will get a Laptop of around 35000 (though you cannot install anything on it and the Windows etc is of Trial Version). Classrooms have projector but the cord to connect to it is a scarce resource. You will also be provided with an internal Telephone and internet connection with restricted search capabilities (social sites etc are blocked). The crowd (students) is better than Rajasthan University. Most faculty members are talented and qualified (NET). The professors teach, make the question papers and check the same - so they are quite independent. Though students don't want to study much. The hostel life is awesome. There are Banks, CCD, Saras Parlour, Food Canteens, Shops, etc. The life is full of entertainment. Third Saturdays are off but may be made working. Food is cheap - Rs 50 per plate if you wish to have it here (with the students).

Cons

The hostel is very costly (for faculty also), ie, around 12000Rs per month. You will not get DA (Dearness allowance). Rather VA (Variable allowance) is paid which is nothing but a residual amount to make your salary equal to the negotiated amount. The University has not been granted UGC certification till now like most other private universities of Jaipur. The HOD and Dean have immense power which is good as well as bad. The HR policies are not clear for new employees as you will not get any leave policy handbook. You get 2.5 EL and 1 CL per month for the first year during probation. No medical or advance leave. Leave is not a matter of right and management may discriminate among employees and allow leave for some and not for you if they feel your ground is not genuine. They are highly suspicious and you have to make sure that they are happy with your performance or attitude. The salary also depends upon our having a Ph.D degree, your performance at work as rated by the HOD annually, annual increment, etc. You will hardly get time to pursue other things like sports, gym, music, pursuing some course whilst working here during office hours unless you are in a top management position. Professors are treated like normal Employees and the guards will not even open the VIP gate for you (so that your car can enter the premises from THAT gate) even if your Sari is going to get drenched in the heavy rain. There is no dignity which Goddess Saraswati or her path-followers deserve. It is just another job.
