Pros

There are some truly great people that work for the company overall. Benefits are offered

Cons

.Benefits were offered but commonly viewed as subpar and expensive. (Healthcare benefits not encouraged for families or spouses due to lack of affordability. Maternity leave of 2 weeks is viewed by upper leadership as generous.) .From my experience, leadership and communication were sometimes inconsistent, which made expectations unclear at times. .I observed that the senior leader occasionally interacted more like a peer than a manager, including joining in on discussions about employee performance and attempting to access a company computer. .The office culture, in my view, tended to be cliquish, with behavior and communication varying and deemed acceptable between different groups. .Based on what I saw, rules and expectations were not always applied consistently, and work-hour flexibility seemed to differ among employees. .In my experience, verbal guidance from leadership didn’t always match how performance or decisions were later evaluated. .I noticed that guidance and procedures sometimes differed within this office, itself, and especially between others, which could create confusion. .From my experience, political and religious viewpoints were sometimes criticized privately if they didn’t align with certain groups, which reinforced the cliquish culture. .In my observation, morale appeared uneven across teams, and employee turnover or transfers seemed higher than average. .In my experience, stronger communication, more consistent policy enforcement, and clearer managerial boundaries could improve the workplace environment.

Pros

Working at Marand Builders has been one of the most rewarding moves of my career. What stands out immediately is the culture. People genuinely care about doing great work and doing right by the client, and that mindset shows up every day in how teams communicate, solve problems, and support each other across the company. There’s a strong sense of ownership here, and you feel trusted to lead, make decisions, and raise the bar. I also appreciate how growth-focused Marand is. The pace is real, but it’s paired with momentum, clear expectations, and leaders who want to invest in better processes, stronger collaboration, and the tools we need to scale the right way. If you like building something, improving how work gets done, and being part of a team that takes pride in delivering a customer-service-first experience, Marand is a great place to be.

Cons

With multiple offices and a lot happening at once, I have to stay organized and proactive to keep everyone aligned. Sometimes I'm pulled in a few directions at the same time.
