Growing company but toxic

Pros

Young, dynamic team and the company is growing at a fast pace.

Cons

Management was so toxic, in my short time being at Marex there were multiple company wide emails sent out about appropriate colleague conduct and treating others with respect but nothing changed, it was if HR didn't exist nor care for appropriate staff behaviour. There was a severe lack of diversity in the office with stale white males running the show and company parades themselves on LinkedIn about diversity but there was none of that in actual office. With all the mergers and acquisitions of different companies, it was hard for Marex to develop its own culture and morals without bullying and deceptivr behaviour going on. There was also a promise of huge bonuses but they stiffed their employees of that as well. I would highly recommend staying away from Marex.

Pros

They offer competitive compensation packages, including benefits and bonuses.

Cons

I was working on a critical issue that was impacting a large number of users. I had been working on the issue for several hours, but I was unable to resolve it. I reached out to my boss for help, but he was dismissive and told me to "figure it out myself." I continued working on the issue, but I was still unable to resolve it. I reached out to my boss again, and this time he became angry. He accused me of being incompetent and told me that I was "holding up the team." I was very frustrated and upset by my boss's behavior. I felt like I was being scapegoated for a problem that was not my fault. I eventually resolve the issue, but it took me much longer that it should have because of my boss's lack f support.
