Pros

The low level employees are pretty nice. Start time is pretty flexible.

Cons

This company already has more former employees than current employees. There is no job security because whenever the budget doesn't add up they will layoff people without warning to make the numbers work. Like other reviewers said, there is obvious favoritism, and sometimes who they let go doesn't seem to be based off of job performance. The benefits aren't great. They've been promising us health insurance forever but probably will only get it when they legally have to. The only benefit is unlimited PTO, but like other companies that have that there is so much pressure to not take it. The average person that isn't management takes off about a week a year. There is a toxic atmosphere that the CEO has spread to the upper management of trash talking former and current employees and even clients behind their backs. The owners are young and often blinded by their egos, they tend to shift the blame for their mistakes onto the lower level employees and not listen to ideas.

Pros

The small team of dedicated video production and editors were young and talented people, who were being leached off of as freshly graduated and unestablished professionals looking to work in their field by a group of people looking to take advantage of short term work to lay them off. They aren't a 'new start up', they are a business constantly on the brink of failure bailing themselves out by selling something they can't commit to and laying off employees to compensate for balance the books from nonrefundable advances from clients and idiotic meme pages who ingest stolen content

Cons

No insurance, constant fabricates stories. No 'huge, high quality clients' that weren't constantly made up to convince us we weren't going to be laid off. Owners who do not understand business operations and are only capable of lying through their teeth and literally stealing people's online content of their sick dogs and grandmothers to earn views for product pages that are also breaking patent laws. These guys started their own CBD oil product, the modern snake oil, because they know that they can sell it at exorbitant rates to make money. These are sociopaths who legitimately need to be shut down and face labor law and SEC investigations into their operation, not to mention the intellectual property violations. I was literally told to edit viral videos almost exactly the same as they were on more popular pages like the Dodo in order for client pages to capitalize and earn views on social media. This is a company abusing the digital age that just needs to be taken out back and shot

Pros

-A lot of like-minded co-workers. Felt like I was coming in to work with friends rather than fellow employees. -Nice location in the middle of Milwaukee, easy to reach.

Cons

-Unclear goals and work flow. Things seemed to switch from week to week. Often without consulting the people it would affect the most. -More of a focus on profit rather than staff integrity. Once went through an all staff meeting were the COO talked about the company's atmosphere being geared more towards 'fun' to than quickly be followed up by the CEO stressing that it is all second fiddle to bringing in profit. -Clear favoritism. Would often be told by upper management about how the company was struggling financially. Yet later we would see most of the sales team posing for a group selfie at a baseball game, or photos of the CEO and COO poolside in California at another conference (which always came across as a questionable move considering the pair were dating during the time I was employed at Margle). -Lack of Foresight. Upper management often made moves that came across as big gambles which hurt the staff when they fell through. Like hiring people from out of state and only keeping them on for four months, asking for overtime on numerous big projects that only blew out the budget, or building up a large sales team when their is little-to-no production staff. -Control Issues. Despite the fact the CEO and COO were busy with many other things, they insisted on reviewing everything that was created in the media side of business. Even though they had not one, but two other levels of quality checkers already in place. Over time, it really slowed down our work flow.
