Pros

company pitches itself as a leader in that vertical and in some respects is the leader

Cons

extremely poor management, at a global as well as regional level. look at the share price of the company and you will realise that it reflects the inability of the management to grow the company. no reasons or explanations are provided for the consistent downfall of the share price, however on the other hand people are being laid off one at a time to start cutting costs. cost cutting/redundancies are typically reserved for organisations with 10's of thousands of employees like Microsoft or Yahoo, not for a small company like this which barely has 500 people. internal processes are consistently changing and there are no career progression opportunities available unless you work in Austin or Dublin. overall i wouldn't recommend working for Marin in any office globally barring Austin and San Francisco.

Pros

The company is a leader in their specific vertical and you can use a number of resources from the US head office. Teams in the US are always willing to help global teams with any and all problems. The pay is decent and so are benefits.

Cons

Very poor regional management, work life balance is ok but there is absolutely no room for career progression/advancement or even proper training. People across all kinds of roles are just thrown into the deep end and expected to keep up to date and start performing for day 1. There is a considerable lack of internal processes and senior management keeps on talking about a singular vision that they have in mind and ignore every other problem within the company because the declining stock price takes precedence over every other issue.

Hello and thank you so much for sharing your experience here. We are very disappointed to hear that you did not find room for career progression with us. An HR initiative that we are actively working on as I write this is to develop career ladders for every role in the company. This will take some time, but please know that we are working on it! Additionally, we are rolling out manager training this year. This, combined with our upcoming career ladder guide, should help with employee training and development in the future. Hopefully we can win your affections back in the future! Please don’t be a stranger and keep your eyes on us.

Pros

-Great group of people to work with - high caliber of talent, with some of the best and brightest in the industry. -Opportunity to work with market leader - in terms of total spend under management Marin is hands down the largest. -Working with largest brands globally and locally - get to work across all industries and get challenged by some big clients. -Supportive senior management - always available to talk and have been more than supportive of career progression. -Great salary and premiums (health care, commute benefits, regular travel)

Cons

-Lack of internal processes - it hasn't really gotten very far past it's burgeoning start up phase. Expectations are increasing being a recently IPO'd company, but nothing has changed much internally to help us hit these growing targets. -Within senior management locally there isn't a good representation of operational staff and are dominated by sales. A lot of time we are thrown projects with little thought behind capacity of staff, technical viability or whether we are likely to hit client's goals. -Not much focus on developing staff and promoting cross role / country opportunities, even though we have a lot of scope to take advantage of this.
