Pros

The pay is on par with the Bay Area, that is about it...

Cons

Staff is treated like drones. There is no autonomy. The facility is bogged down in politics and there is no forward thinking or cutting edge medicine going on here. Management can be outright belligerent to staff. There is a very high staff turn over right now. I have been here for years and I never thought I would want to leave, but I find myself looking for work.

Pros

Located in a nice area with great places to walk to during your lunch break.

Cons

Before accepting a position at Marin Imaging Breast Center, I had been warned and unfortunately didn't listen. I was actually hopeful and didn't think it would be that bad. Ohh, its not bad, its HORRIBLE!!! Manager is completely out of line with employees, yells at them, stands in front of exam door to listen to your conversation with patients and will not reprimand those that cause a hostile environment. I don't understand why Marin General would have someone in that position that clearly doesn't know what they are doing, and doesn't bring the department up, but will make sure you are always down. Negative remarks and being called into the office are the norm. Your opinion will not matter here, and you will be blamed for things you didn't do or have any control over. HR isn't helpful either, unfortunately. There are only three mammography technologists working in the entire place now. Leadership is lacking, and department is quickly falling apart. Don't join the mess!!

Pros

The 12 hour shifts

Cons

The staff nurses are unprofessional . If you are a minority's please don't work in their ER . If you are blonde you will make it. Racism exists in Nursing at Marin General! Management listen to lazy charge nurses who gossip and pick on the weak!
