Cons
Tone deaf leadership No communication or transparency across the company Extremely questionable hiring practices - incredibly disappointing lack of ethics displayed by leadership and acquisition (the high number of ex Hall & Partners employees should not be ignored and is no coincidence. Most of these hires are curiously underqualified and overpaid for the titles they were brought in on..) Secretive layoffs Terrible HR Very little opportunity for growth or promotions No raises ever except with promotions which are rare Abysmal review processes No investment in staff/culture from leadership Teams are always under resourced and overworked. I have heard this was also the case before the pandemic so covid can't be blamed for this despite what leadership claim All of this has resulted in constant turnover. In a company this size it is very telling when most of the staff have only been here 1-2 years on average. Every day feels uneasy, unstable and anxiety inducing. Leadership gaslights staff by using toxic rhetoric of staff needing to "roll with change" instead of actually addressing their contradictory practices and lack of strategic planning or direction that is resulting in all the constant, needless, disruptive change. This is a consistent theme at Marketcast where organizational breakdowns are left to individuals to attempt to work out instead of leadership stepping up and actually showing any sort leadership. In the year I have been with the company I have only seen things go from bad to worse. The never ending "transformation" is exhausting and fruitless. The only thing that is certain at this company is that things will never change for the better no matter what deceptive management might preach.
