Old-fashioned manufacturing practices. Very fire-fighting driven without enough regards to preventative processes. Lack of training in continual improvement methodologies. Changes for the better ARE starting to happen for the better, although progress was/is slow.

Shockingly managed. Since the departure of the Marshall family overseeing the group, the strategic intellect and value of its employees has gone. Sadly a constant stream of ‘big defence’ company rejects being offered incredible sums of money to come and lead the business off a cliff. With the UK c-130 fleet retiring and the last management team closing any links to civil aerospace it’s just a matter of time before the business is closed and Marshall focusses on the greed of building houses. Wish the company all the best, but just sad to watch something so special wither and die because of poor management.
