Pros

Paid 40-hour medical interpretation training for CCHI certification.

Cons

Too many. No respect for highly-educated staff. One will be penalized for taking breaks and days off. Unreasonable and inflexible system. Micromanagement. Very low pay. Unfair work allocation. No freedom at work. Very little transparency for the complicated system.

Pros

Great co-workers, that’s it. Can get more hours of slave labor if wanted

Cons

Just lowered everybody’s hourly pay with the new incentive program, forcing you to sign a letter. Everybody is quitting, me too. Good luck Martti.

Pros

Enjoy my job very much, not boring, something different with every call.

Cons

1. No respect or regard, of any kind, for their employees. 2. Pay is very low compared to other in this industry. VRI companies have employees working from home at $23-$26.00/hr vs. $15.00/hr at LAN/Martti. Some of us have Master’s Degrees, even PhD and MDs. The poor site managers are over-worked and make less than the interpreters, considering that interpreters can work OT, and managers are salary. 3. There is 0 structure, what works for corporate does not work for the sites. 4. It’s a young, growing company, obviously, their lack of structure, poor equipment and disregard for employees' well-being, resulting in a huge turn around; people with higer expectations and drive constantly leave because they’re tired of the promises that never come true. 5. Call volume is over the top, back to back, no chance to even take a sip of water.
