Do not work here!

Pros

Their dumbo office is in a nice but inconvenient location unless you live in the area.

Cons

Avoid this company if you can. They fired me after less than 2 months of employment with no warning whatsoever. If anything they lead me to believe I was doing well, and then all of sudden one day I get a zoom invite to a meeting where management let me get with 0 explanation, it was so cold! In the interview process they will make you feel so valuable and tell about all the fun perks of working there just to draw you in, but in reality you are disposable to them and they will just replace you instead of help you to improve or at least give you an opportunity to improve. The CEO also told me in the interview to ignore the negative glassdoor reviews as they were all invalid. I wish I did not listen to him! At the time I had been given two offers and I wish I could go back and take the other offer that was given to me. If you are in the same situation, I advise you take the other offer and stay away.

Great Team, Bad Leadership

Pros

The people were great to work with for the most part. It's a small team which means everyone pitches in and connects with each other.

Cons

Uncomfortable leadership that is not equipped to deal with people. I heard many problematic things (like not even considering OT for employees that make less than 60k, which is literally the law), to microaggressions in the workplace. They often play favorites and are not shy to let you know who the favorites are.

Pros

A tight-knit group of co-workers that definitely had each other's backs.

Cons

Senior staff was an absolute nightmare, made their own hours & would send emails requesting work done at unreasonable hours (ranging from 10 PM - as late as 3 AM) - Senior staff was eventually replaced but the damage was already done. Pay was under industry averages. Overtime was expected (and not-compensated), breaks were criticized, and clients were usually unreasonable. Employees 'breaking down' was relatively common, like monthly.
