Pros

I can't think of anything

Cons

Read the fine lines of contract. Also posting "If you can meet the challenge, pass our screening process and graduate our basic training program -- you will be well on your way to a successful career" They tell you that you will make $500/week while training (it did not happen). Their training consisted of shadowing other employees to homes. There was absolutely no training involved. My trainee class consisted of 4 people, one guy was from Michigan. They called each of us in after two weeks and told us that we were not a good fit (they only kept one). I quit my full-time job with benefits for this position. We all worked 10+ hrs per day, I spent about $300 on gas and tolls, along with a purchasing a Ipad key board for $65 (was told that they would reimburse me). Who is their right mind would dish out that kind of money for training? Beware, they ALWAYS have positions open on their website. This company has caused great detriment to my family.

Pros

A job, something to do if you can not find a legitimate sales job. If you can close some basement jobs you can make some money - but there are many catches!!!

Cons

Endless driving to appointments at customer homes who've set up an in-home quote. The idea is to sell them an expensive basement in ONE sales call. You must go through a very lengthy scripted presentation, then measure and design the basement - then high pressure close on the spot! Most leads are terrible and complete waste of time - the minimin sales "set" is three hours and 99% of the time the clients want you out of there - they're told it's a 60-90 min presentation (total lie) If you do sell the basement the company scams you on your commission, often time they'll 'scrub" the job and take commission away, and you only get 75% of what the commission is until the job is completed many months later. What that does id make it impossible to leave because the company is always holding a large sum of money that's owed to you. Every salesman either ends up getting completely screwed on what they're owed or have to try and negotiate with the owners to get your rightful money. Most salespeople just leave and the company takes it all. Long hours driving, working every night and every Saturday! The turnover of people is huge, the churn is terrible, no one can last it's a death trap!

Pros

They sell an ok product and have good sales training

Cons

I was paid straight commission. The commission is fair initially. If there are any discrepancies in pricing a job out they will jump at the opportunity to take your commission without even double checking. Also, if you leave the company, the employee manual says you will be paid all commissions owed after all of the jobs are built. LIE. They will not pay you and come up with lies that you either made mistakes on pricing or jobs cancelled.
