Highly appreciate your feedback. Thank you for sharing it. Trust is immensely important in our company and "earn trust" remains one of our key leadership principles. I'm disappointed that you didn't feel heard at the company, that you didn't feel trusted, and that you didn't feel some of the hires we made were high quality. I take full responsibility for those short comings and commit to do better. We tripled the company in a year and there's certainly things we didn't get right on the first try, or the second try. Some areas we get better over time, others are still a work in progress, but listening and continual improvement are core to who we are and how we approach feedback. In terms of social skills, I agree there's room to grow for me as well. I have friends who are CEOs and I wish all the time I could pick up some of the extraordinary abilities they have. I think the one thing I might think differently on in your note is that while I set the vision for our company, creation doesn’t occur in a silo. The driving force of our Vision comes from our team, and from listening to our customers and to the market. Team is everything. Team is the foundation to every success we've had. If we didn't have you in the right team, if we didn't have you in a role where you could do the best work of your career, that's my fault. I need to do better. PS: As a note to any Mattermost staff or candidate reading this, we currently have anonymous feedback surveys every week at our all-hands, engagement and pulse surveys, listening tours from our People team and from CEO. If anyone else is feeling this way about what's happening in their team, my hope is that we can hear the feedback, iterate and set up every staff member for success.
