Pros

Business casual, easy place to work because upper management not knowledgeable or competent, near train station, comfortable environment, more than usual days off (Jewish company).

Cons

Favoritism, lack of knowledge in critical areas but hire people they "know" instead of most qualified, poor leadership, poor management, departments don't communicate, company is in decline and losing footing in marketplace. Doesn't follow regulatory guidelines, has some questionable business practices. Poor compensation for people off the street, but if you "know" one of the owners, paid handsomely. Business ethics not enforced. All in all, not a good place to work.

Pros

Most employees are hard-working and friendly Nice building with a stocked pond Sporting goods industry can be fun

Cons

Ancient systems that, in late 2016/early 2017, they tried to marry to an advanced warehouse management system without adequate testing or project management resulted in massive problems that are ongoing as of April 2017. Recent significant layoffs, partly due to the above problems, have led to a day to day culture that has been described as like being at a funeral. Horrible communication. Gossipy management-rank and file know about firings and layoffs before they should. Management that seems to think it's more capable and smarter than it really is. They didn't change until they were forced to. Touted top line sales as a huge win while profitability tanked. Management is an old boys club. Very little accountability for poor performance, in general, at this company.

Pros

Consistent, merit-based company that rewards performance.

Cons

Recent Warehouse software failed to allow company to ship orders. These operational Flaws caused a massive backlog and ultimately forced recent massive company layoffs.
