Pros
Maverick has been around for 30 years, which is rare in the hedge fund industry. There is very little turnover, which is indicated by average employee. having tenure of 10 years or more. The benefits, are bar none, the best in the industry. It is a culture of hard-working individuals that value respect and integrity above all else.
Cons
There are certainly examples of superstars that have risen through the ranks to advance their careers. However, due to the size of the firm, opportunities to advance your career are somewhat limited. If you are creative resourceful, and willing to speak up., you can identify areas where you can take on more responsibility. The leadership is very supportive of this.
