    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Maxim full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The team was lovely and fun to work with. Everyone could commiserate together over the management, or lack-there-of together.

    Cons

First of all, there was no physical office. Every person that is employed works as a freelance employee. Not having a common place to meet and discuss and have meetings makes the communication aspect extremely difficult. The pay is sadly low, however that is publishing. Don't expect to ever receive a monetary bonus. The best they can do is a buy-one-get-one-free burger at Steak n' Shake. The magazine is so beyond out of touch with reality as most of the cover girls had to be begged to be associated with the magazine. Even many of the brands that are featured in the magazine had to be convinced to appear for free-press. Sad.
