Pros

I joined during the pandemic and though I've yet to meet any my colleagues face-to-face, the overall experience here has been fantastic. The work is very interesting -- the perfect balance between working with an improving existing infrastructure on the one hand, and development of a greenfield "state of the art" infrastructure on the other; a wonderful manager who is just hands-on enough to lead and keep the group on track, but otherwise trusts and has faith in his team to do the right thing, which, as a "maker," is the dream situation; little process overhead, and very few meetings; flexible work/life balance; and a great group of people all-around. Definitely among the top working experiences of my career thus far. I'm both contributing and learning quite a lot, which is hard to say at most firms.| Lots of long-term career opportunities. This is not a siloed culture. Benefits and pay are both solid. I haven't been there long enough to see the rate of compensation growth, but I have the feeling that if you give to the company the company will give back to you. Non-financially, at least, that's definitely been the case.

Cons

Honestly -- not many to think of. Even the remote work, which one might expect to be challenging for a new hire, has gone very smoothly. There's still a bit of a bifurcation between the C++ side of the firm and the infrastructure side in terms of build systems, etc., but these are just additional challenges to be tackled and conquered in the future, with work already underway. Some might say the remote work isn't ideal, but I personally love it and actually have a bit of trepidation about any return to full-time in-office employment. The extra time saved commuting has been great, and it's also a little nerve-wracking a change from any working environment to another -- even if that move is just from remote to on-site at a company. There's the opportunity there things will no longer gel. But otherwise, so far, I couldn't be happier. I just wish there were more hours in the day -- not because they work us too hard, but because there's so much fun stuff afoot time seems to fly by as the ideas keep coming.

Pros

Smart, hardworking people, easy to learn a lot from. Great codebase / coding tools. Interesting work if you like Market Access problematics. Flexible work hours (shift a day or a couple hours in the middle of the day for administration/doctor/other.. Can also work from home) Lots of work (You'll get experience in almost all aspects of the business)

Cons

Lots of work (Long hours make work/life balance hard to manage) Benefits are basic (Just basic healtchare; no 401k plan)

Pros

Everything you work on gets used. Its a small company where there is urgency to what you're doing. Its a good place to learn about markets. It does require constant growth and there is challenging work and assignments if you can deliver.

Cons

Everything you do has to work - Its not a place where you can write stuff in a corner and then it doesn't get used. It has to pass valid and rigorous tests and there can be stress in meeting goals and quality requirements.
