Pros

You will learn a ton of things when you start working here. They have a huge diverse portfolio of clients across all industries. They use current software to administer support. Very nice building including a gym and an awesome kitchen.

Cons

Management changes their minds every week about how they want things done. They complain about money every couple of days. The turnover rate is really high. The compensation is sporadic and based on how the owner feels instead of anything conrete. There are no consequences for long time employees who slack off. Compensation is middle of the road for the area and below the industry.

Pros

Non that I can really think of.

Cons

The owner literally ignored me after being hired. I worked and produced better numbers than any of his current employees and he keep indicating I was "entry level" even though I left for a level 2 technician position. All the work place violations, anger and hostility, stay away. I left because I refused to be treated like a dog only was there less than a month.

Sorry that you had a bad experience when you started and that you feel the owner didn’t hold your hand through your first week of work. James is very busy and has a method of onboarding new people to ensure you get attention. Since you already had experience doing helpdesk, had four other HelpDesk staff members available, and had a Helpdesk Manager with you the entire time, perhaps he felt he didn’t need to hold your hand. I also do recall a direct conversation he had with you and complimented you on doing a good job after the first week. You were considered entry level for two reasons; 1) you didn’t have direct onsite/Tier 2 support experience, 2) You couldn’t be placed in Tier 1 or Tier 2 even as a trial run because of your lack of a driver’s license. You were well informed before you accepted the position, that since you didn’t have a driver’s license, the only position that James could give you would be HelpDesk/Dispatch. Different companies have different descriptions of Tiered roles. With Mayer Networks, you were entry level along with all other Dispatch/Helpdesk staff members and as mentioned, you were made well aware of this and eagerly accepted the position due to “issues” with your previous employer. As you have demonstrated here, in this review by stating “I worked and produced better numbers than any of his current employees”, your behavior and demeanor towards others didn’t play well unfortunately. A team is not about any one person being fantastic, it is about the team being fantastic and it was clear from your attitude that you didn’t understand this mentality that everyone else here does. Regarding your comments of work place violations, anger and hostility. Please do not lie to the general public simply because you are upset. Next time you review a company, please try, and give an honest review. Mayer Networks is none of the things you mentioned, you know that, everyone knows that, so why lie? Take care of yourself, maybe some day you will find a solid place to work.
