Pros

Majority of staff is AMAZING.

Cons

Staff is grossly underpaid. They report CEO Melissa Raghurai cares more about her bonus than people. Often yells and staff and uses profanity (records of complaints are with the Ministry of Labour). Displays lack of self control, extremely immature, and exhibits displays emotional intelligence. Multiple legal cases launched against the company due to poor CEO management, judgement and people skills. Check public records for multiple cases filed against the company - ex. THREE cases launched within 9 months in 2019 alone! Extremely high management turnover including THREE HR managers in 2 years! Concerning. Also Club seems Racist - refused membership to reputable member of Black Community -no reason given and less than 1% of members are Black. CEO more concerned with landscaping than vision of company, often pursuing petty business goals. Stole job from former CEO while he was on vacation. Allegedly 500k contract agreement prevents Board from terminating. Says will pay you one thing verbally, writes something else in contract, then says after 3 months will increase with review, but never actually does it (has happened to several staff - Names and contact info can be provided if you'd like to follow up. During interview process, CEO will say they empower staff, but this is not true. Total micro manager and somewhat abusive. Has made staff cry. Club Managers back CEO to keep their jobs. Says you can use Tennis facilities and gym, but then takes that away as well. Staff reports that CEO cares about no one but herself. Has said young people don't need money when former Accountant wanted to give raise to Swim Instructor at Parkway location. The list goes on and on. Antiquated processes. Cheap. She will not invest in technology to automate process. Staff wastes HOURS and hours on manual processes. Tip of Iceburg as far as issues are concerned. Board needs to replace CEO.

Pros

You get to use the gym membership and swimming for free

Cons

Other then basic gym and swim you have to pay for everything just like a normal member. Management is toxic and they will not train you but hold you responsible and point fingers to place blame immediately. The clubs and company makes itself sound and seem prestigious, but in reality its stingy and micro managed by the president who has no idea on how operations are done. There is no growth or learning once you learn the basic software on your own, and then you will be expected to be a “team player” and cover and help and step up when ever needed for the benefit of the company. Salary and hourly wages are trash, employees that have been there over 8+yrs are still at minimum wage or just $.50 over if your lucky.
