Not a place to thrive

Pros

Free parking if you owned a car and drove in everyday

Cons

The ceo is temperamental making the workplace unpleasant. The founders tamper with everything even if it seems to be working. Why? they are impatient to ride out the full benefits. There is no realistic 5 year plan. It's 1 or none. Finessing to improve a process is not at all what they do here. It is a full on wrecking ball. Wiping out any prior efforts, achievements and team members. Yes! I did say team members. The way they take out employees is a full on harassment violation. I was there for a short period but witnessed all of the above happen. The ceo is the core problem. He breaks what is not broken rather than patiently let it unfold. This place is also not a startup. I have a background in startups and this place by no means offer any perks or benefits of a start up. Benefits and pto days are the worst I have ever seen. If you get the stomach flu, suck it up or that carribean vacation won't come into fruition. Yes, you have just enough for one or the other. And don't even think of working from home.

Poor excuse for a startup

Pros

If you love unhealthy, fattening, sugary office snacks, this place is for you

Cons

I was really concerned with unclear, disorganized leadership that became apparent to me shortly after my first few company meetings. The CEO is scattered, fickle, and clearly doesn’t understand enough about his different departments and functions to even ask intelligent questions. This skews priorities and budget, allocating resources to projects and processes where they are not needed, while blatantly neglecting others. This leads to a great deal of blaming that occurs as a result of the inevitable failures that I saw happening across all departments, which I believe are directly attributed to a trickle-down disorganization. My advice would be to avoid this company at all costs. You are already being set up for failure when you step foot in the door

AVOID AT ALL COST!

Pros

A small group of really great, hardworking, yet undervalued people.

Cons

1. A company culture of blaming, firing, and thinking that high turnover is normal "startup life." 2. Work cliques - extremely cliquey if you don't speak Chinese... lots of cold, unfriendly, and impersonal individuals there. 3. Leadership is entirely absent - the CEO is fickle, rude, and has no clear mission to relay to his employees. He creates a hostile working environment with his unpredictable temperament. 4. A sad, disheartening attitude of coworkers continually being afraid that they will be let go next. Extremely poor work moral in the office. It's truly a mystery to me how this organization continues to remain afloat. They entirely undervalue what should be their greatest asset - their employees. I feel compelled to write this review since I don't want anyone else falling for the "fake reviews" on here. Please save yourself the energy, time, and SANITY by avoiding this place at all cost.
