Pros

You get to work around plants and nice scenery. There is some freedom to work with you on your schedule. Good working experience. A good first job for high school students or recent graduates.

Cons

They have low labor allotments which means everyone has to work harder. While you can work your way up the company, the wages are low for the Northern VA area where the cost of living is high. They don't take very good care of their equipment/facilities.

Pros

Opportunity for advancement in the company. Good pay and benefits. Paid for college level classes to help me learn about plants.

Cons

They do close the nurseries during the winter for a few weeks so no income for many of the workers. Creates a high turnover rate.

Pros

The best part of the job was the customers. The selection that our store carried was very large always a lot to choose from.

Cons

Long hours with little no help. Upper management not working with you or backing you. Weather conditions but that was part of the job.
