Squandered potential

Pros

Mediatrope has landed projects with great clients in the museum and nonprofit space. They have been able to turn out some award winning projects. Their sales team was very well networked.

Cons

The company has been around since the mid-1990s, but the principals seem to have lost interest in running the business. They are seldom in the office, but don't delegate either, so staff are stuck trying to do the best they can without proper resources. Older client projects run on outdated technology that has no future.

Great mission, great clients, awful management

Pros

The clients are great especially if you want to work with museums and nonprofits. They offer perks like kitchen snacks and occasional team outings to fancy restaurants.

Cons

The directors would regularly call and yell at people, myself included and then hang up before you could get in a word. No work from home policy even though the directors worked from home regularly themselves. Extremely high staff turnover due to oppressive leadership and micromanagement.
