Pros

People are generally nice but only if they like you

Cons

Micromanagement is bad. Leadership team doesn’t understand what leadership means. They will often say that they will “train” you but this is a hoax. There is no onboard, no training, but they expect high results. The only training is on-the-job and unsure of what they are training is even correct. Work life balance has gotten from normal to bad during WFH period. There is no trust from the leadership team and they will gaslight you into thinking this company is doing good and they are smart. All the good people have left or are thinking of leaving. Don’t bother.

It’s sad to see that you were not able to communicate with your managers on the above as it seems that you are keeping a lot of frustration with you. I would like to ask you three questions: - There is a lot of negativity in your review and you want the management to listen but you have not made any points. What specific recommendations would you give? - Would you prefer a company with low expectations and low standards instead? - Training seems to have been a big issue for you and you even refer to it as micro-management. How could we have done a better job at giving you directions, helping you build confidence, without leaving you on your own, feeling that you were not meeting our expectations? Pros

Some colleagues are really nice and get to wfh

-Poor management overall. -The workplace is filled with toxic, incompetent micromanagers who destroy the culture. -My director is all talk—overly aggressive, toxic, messy, emotional, and contributing nothing of real value. She likes to comment on deck or message on chat with long repetitive, constant, basic questions that are irrelevant and she can answer herself- she shouldn’t be managing a team. I heard many others share the same complaints. - The culture feels very local, leaning heavily into Singaporean practices. - Internal meetings are often just scolding sessions. - they like to have multiple internal meetings here without agenda -The turnover rate is extremely high. -Upper management never admits their mistakes; you can see it in their review responses, where they deflect blame back onto the reviewers.

Dear former employee, We're not sure we have someone with your profile as one of our former employees, so we're not sure you're a genuine poster. It is quite disappointing to read a very racially-charged feedback against Singaporeans from your post. More than half of our directors and heads of departments are non-Singaporeans. In fact, Singaporeans make up one of the smallest percent of our company's population. It is really unacceptable to be alleging cultural toxicity based on nationalities. Although we have not had anyone of your profile in our company in the last few years, it is very clear that you have unresolved anger and resentment even after leaving the team, We practice an incredibly transparent culture where everyone shares their thoughts openly with each other and find a way forward to resolving issues. Everyone, from the interns to the directors, has daily direct access to all levels of senior management as well as our HR team. We also have a policy of limiting all internal meetings to only 30 mins (max) or 15 mins time blocks to ensure that our teams are not bogged down by meetings. We're sorry you did not manage to resolve these pent up unhappiness while you were with us. -this is a great company if you are looking for an agency only focusing on regional campaign localisation. Pure execution (ads format variation, manage translation agency, etc) and no strategy and no creativity in their projects. 90% of the work produced is

- employees were treated as disposable items rather than valuable assets. - the projects I worked on lacked excitement and innovation, this agency is only doing the localization of regional campaign making it challenging to stay motivated and engaged. - the company did not offer substantial benefits or incentives to its employees, which left little to be desired in terms of long-term career growth. - There was a noticeable lack of effective management and support. Many times, employees were left to fend for themselves. - while colleagues would often offer assistance in theory, it often seemed they were either unsure of their own roles or didn't follow through on their promises, leaving me feeling unsupported in my role.

Regarding the lack of strategy, creativity, excitement and innovation: we believe it’s up to all of us to ensure these elements are incorporated into our projects and even if the client brief does not allow for it, it’s up to us to surprise them. Regarding the focus on the people advice, we believe our agency cannot exists without its people, and we try our best to take care of our teams, for instance we are offering Flexible Working Hours, Working From Anywhere Policy, Medical Insurance, ClassPass discounts, Lunches & Team Building Activities, Yearly Company Trip in Bali (when revenue allows). For each year with us, employees earn an additional day of annual leave, which accumulates. We are sorry that our agency was not a good culture fit for you.
