Pros

> I have been treated fairly well over the course of my employement but I know for a fact that is no that case for a lot of people and it does make me uncomfortable to see others who work just as hard if not harder than me not get the same recognition for seemingly no reason. > Training is offered, with external companies, though in the past some training has not been utilised with new responsibilities so comes out as a waste of everyone's time. > Several staff members have been here for a number of years and are very friendly and knowledgable, unfortunately they also become single points of failure if they're not around and generally are the lucky few that get treated well.

Cons

> Working conditions for some teams at support centre are dire, bordering on if not 100% illegal but certainly immoral. Dust filling the corridors and literally caking the desk / cups of drink in dust, drilling and sawing so loud you'd need to literally shout to be heard by the person next to you. Debris falling through holes being hammered in the wall of a corridor employees are literally walking through. > Employee of the Month (which offers points to exchange for rewards) is a popularity contest. Winners are often nominated by the people who decide the overall winner or work closesly with them. I've seen many dedicated and incredibly hard working people get nominated several times and never win. > Benefit scheme isn't particularly good I feel and seems quite token. Small %'s off certain stores and non-transferrable and a bit arduous to get in the first place. Pension is legal minimum. > Redundencies across various areas in the country handled poorly and without consideration to the person behind the nurse's uniform. > Having worked for Medivet for a number of years and seeing it grow I have contact with people across the entire group and over the years moral seem's to have been getting lower to the point where it's quite possibly irretrievably low for a lot of staff. > Work / personal life balance is terrible for a lot of people, both in high positions where it's almost expected in this day and age but also in lower positions. > Rapid expansion of company has left several departments in the support centre woefully lacking in resources and underfunded. That's starting to improve finally but is still far away from where it should be. > Unfair division of responsibilities among the team. Most departments seem to have the lucky few people who get all the responsibilities and career progression oppurtunities but very much the lucky FEW. > Higher ups able to flaunt rules and policies for no reason other than their position within the company. One rule for most and one rule for them.
