Pros

Good people, good client, easy to commute...I can't think of any other positive thing about this company at the moment..

Cons

1. They hire and fire people without giving them a chance to prove themselves... 2. There is no flexibility about the time. Even if you have come at 8:30 in the morning..You are expected to sit till 5:30. 3. Hr comes in to check the office with attendance sheet to see if anyone has left early. 4. High attrition rate and uncertainty about being made redundant at a very short notice 5. If you are 5-10 mins late, even because of the trains...And the owner knows it you might get screamed at in front of the whole office. 6. If you are a contractor, you are not allowed to talk on the phone, because you are supposed to be working every minute...If you are spotted on phone by hr or owner be prepared to be yelled at in a most nasty way. 7. There is no appreciation or value for hard work.. 8. No appraisal policy 9. To top it all...Office building is old, cold and most disgusting toilets.

Pros

The pay. No, I kid. I really, really kid. Of course, it’s the people. Like the survivors of a tragic event, joint pain and suffering brings together personalities who ordinarily may not have had time for each other. So working at Meganexus was like being part of a dysfunctional but really loving family. We might have parents who don’t love us but we have brothers and sisters that provide each other with daily banter, support and camaraderie in an extremely hostile environment. Even when you’re lucky enough to escape from the abyss that is Meganexus, the friendships made tend to continue long, long after.

Cons

Management – I’m not suggesting that any reviews on this website are in any way falsified but I'm going to say that I'd happily wager my life savings that the, shall we call more them “casually upbeat” reviews posted about Meganexus were either directly edited or at least heavily encouraged into that state by MN management. I say this because no staff member at Meganexus naturally speaks like that - we had one eternally optimistic staff member and he was fired for not being a good fit. (Enough said.) We all arrived at Meganexus as human beings but through a long, slow and torturous process all end up the same - dead inside. I would have gone so far as to say money may have changed hands but as Meganexus as a whole is a cripplingly tight-fisted organisation, this is literally impossible. Here you have an organisation where every single member of management is aware of the dismal reviews on this site and rather than implement even one single change to attempt to improve the conditions – they just try and balance the books with their own lies and propaganda. No, it’s not slowly getting better. No, communication isn’t fantastic across the teams. Absolute codswallop. Management don’t particularly like each other and they certainly don’t like us, which as you can imagine, made for a fantastic working environment. Resources – There are none, human or otherwise. A mass exodus occurs every season or so and it’s a serious issue exacerbated by the fact that recruiting efforts are poor. For every 5 people that leave, maybe one position is filled. So, effectively it's an increasing workload but a diminishing workforce. To be fair to management, it can’t be easy to recruit for Hell On Earth. I mean, people don’t volunteer for serfdom, do they? Pay – The holiday and salaries at Meganexus are AWFUL. Absolutely awful. Looking at job ads for equivalent roles at normal organisations is an exercise in humiliating and soul-destroying self-flagellation. Unfortunately, looking at job ads for equivalent roles at normal organisations is also the only way to motivate yourself off the ledge as we all furiously search for alternative employment. Market rate pay? 28 days holiday? Job-related training? Staff welfare initiatives? Yes, as a standard. Oh sorry, you meant at Meganexus? Not in a million years. Owner/Head of Business Development – This is not his true job title, by the way. It’s Purveyor of Destruction and Harbinger of Doom. If I’m perfectly honest, he’s not the main problem. Yes, he is obstinate and unreasonable. Yes, he has no concept of how to run a business but will not allow those who do, to do it effectively. Yes, he has 0% capacity for speaking to, interacting with or dwelling amongst people. However, if he was the only challenge at Meganexus then he would be tolerable. However, he adds a rather large insult to what is already a pretty chronic injury. COO – I don’t wish to make any personal slights so I’ll just say he’s not a good fit for the organisation and leave it at that.

Pros

The staff is GREAT - most people at Meganexus are a real treat and nice to work with Pay is good, if you know how to negociate properly, but with non existant benefits, you are better off somewhere else

Cons

The company in general Things are disorganised, the systems are BUDGET Bargain basement, the estate is in disrepair and they provide services to Government organisations! No server / estate monitoring that works correctly No way of determining if systems are going to fail. The idea of "Monitoring" is when a customer calls to complain that the services (if you can call it a service) being provided is not working NOTHING is set-up in terms of "Best Practices" OLD Hardware - no standardisation, COMPLETE lack of company morale Blame culture CEO cannot make any decisions and focuses on the wrong things Cover yourself kind of environment - do I need to explain anything further? Other reviews have stated it's the "Head of Development" that is the problem in the organisation - that is unjust and unfair as he is a REALLY nice guy when you get to know him, but the CEO is grossly incompetant and is the root cause of 99.9% of all of the problems within Meganexus.
