• Salaries, promotions, raises and bonuses seemed arbitrary. Little transparency and inconsistent application of “policies” in these areas. (I.e. policies were used as reason to deny some employees promotions/raises, while other employees were not subject to these polices.)
• Lack of commitment to diversity and inclusion (especially at the top).
• Senior leadership exhibits little vision, follow- through, transparency or EQ.
• The company recently laid off the entire editorial department and has been restructuring, leading many others to leave.
• Some departments and individuals can be possessive of projects, as their top priority is furthering their own career or status in the company.
• Those at the top tend to ignore or push out employees who point out areas needing improvement, instead of addressing concerns.
