      Owner takes advantage of employees and treats customers like a blank check.

      Clean and presentable shop. Great customers, and coworkers

      Cons

      Was chastised for not meeting certain sales goals or programs but was not given any training about those programs or informed of those goals. The owner was hardly around, and when they were all they did was complained about how the business was not making enough money despite showing increased profits from the prior year. Owner treats the employees like they are property not people. A signing bonus was offered to bring in prospective employees. Had to chase down owner to get the bonus that was promised.

      Pros

      Meineke locations are great for learning entry level basics for car maintenance, or providing basic experience in management and sales. The owner is, when available, communicative and supportive. Management in general is supportive of technicians furthering education and providing a relatively low-stress environment that can genuinely culture aspiring competent technicians for the future.

      Cons

      Poor management by supervisors is the biggest issue. With no formal training requirement or support, every manager can vary from hot-tempered to lazy and borderline incompetent. Upper management provides no resources for management education, and provides no avenues for conflict resolution. Training wouldn't be as much of an issue as the ideal candidate for a management position will stay there for 2-3 years to cultivate a customer base, but turnover rate is relatively high.

      Decent pay, whenever they decided that they wanted to pay you what you were promised....

      Cons

      2 of the 3 owners were bullies and would scream and yell in order to scare you into doing what they wanted. Bad business ethics. Micro managed more than I have ever seen anywhere. belittled by ownership. No "thank you" or "good job" when things went very well. All in all by far the worst place that I've ever worked.
