Pros

Beautiful grounds, amazing animals, always changing and developing, easy to be hired so good foot in the door to other AZA institutions

Cons

Staffing issues to the top of the ladder, very behind in organizational beliefs compared to other AZA institutions, little accountability between managers, department heads, administrators and more. There's a reason they're mass hiring and it's not just creating new positions, it's hiring for places where people quit.

Great animal collection. Top Zoo in the Nation. Fellow teammates great. Zoo is updating & growing.

Cons

Employee growth stagnates. Management not doing enough to support & actively contribute to employees’ professional development. Some management doesn’t seem to value employee input or experience. Pay is uneven across employees doing the exact same job & work. Overall employee opinion of work environment is very negative. Turnover of good employees due to low pay & management.
