We understand that reviews are often influenced by personal perspective and opinion. However, it appears that this review comes from someone who did not leave the company on their own terms. Those who did choose to move on from Mercury Hampton have often progressed to senior roles or even started their own businesses - the skills they acquired with Mercury Hampton enabled them to achieve that.
At Mercury Hampton, we uphold high standards in both performance and values, including a strong commitment to diversity. Employees who do not align with these standards are encouraged to explore opportunities elsewhere. The world of employment is a two-way street, and both parties need to show up.
We have always made significant efforts to support our team; handing them clients, handing them retained work that they didn’t pitch for, trips to Spain (and in some cases they didn’t qualify but we took them anyway), time off for personal interests like golf, weekly Friday drinks paid by the Directors, monthly/quarterly incentives, and opportunities to transition into different roles within the company with multiple attempts to help them thrive.
We are an innovative business and change management is difficult for both sides, but again, it requires both parties to commit - and in our case, these changes resulted in a record revenue year.
Bonus payments at Mercury Hampton are tied to individual performance, it’s in the shareholders interest for everyone to hit high performance. Encouraging someone to work hard or focus on client development is recruitment 101 and without these key ingredients, it’s always going to come to a natural end. Ultimately, success requires effort from both sides.
The Directors client base generate over 60% of the company's revenue, making them top contributors year after year. How they choose to allocate the revenue generated from their efforts is entirely at their discretion.
Each person who has worked here has contributed to our journey, and we respect that they have moved on to pursue new opportunities and wish them well.
