Pros

Pay was okay. If you’re willing to sell your soul...

Cons

Awful culture. Zero accountability. Terrible upper management. Constant talk about safety but when actual issues pop up and it costs money to address them, no action is taken. Worst company I’ve ever worked for and I cannot wait to get out.

Pros

While I was initially wanting to go with the old standard of “none to report,” I felt that was not entirely fair. There are a few perks/pros that I would be remiss to not let the public at large know about. 401K match(up to 5%, but that was before the pandemic), company car, health benefits, resale product lines the firm represents are all at a minimum quality products, or have some notoriety. Some of my colleagues were professional and solid individuals.

Cons

I’m just going to dive in. Lack of leadership- From the top on down, this is a rudderless ship, or at minimum its a ship where the crew is happy to tell the captain how wonderful his direction and new clothes all look. This is also the case sales wise. A directive is given, and then no follow up from your manager/director. No help/tools to succeed from your manager/director. Disregard for safety- This one is a doozy. The company loves to speak on their “Zero Harm” culture. One can only surmise that this is to indemnify the organization from the lawsuits that are bound to come around. An egregious safety incident occurred in December of 2019, and no interviews were conducted for three weeks post-event. That only occurred after one of the witness’ of the incident sent the information up over the head of management to human resources. The handling of this event, from management to human resources, was a fail at all levels. The conclusion was that the guilty party was terminated, but so was the employee who made HR aware of the issue. To say he was retaliated against is an understatement. Misrepresentation- When coming on board, I was told about all of the accounts that would be assigned to me and the idea that there were accounts to grow our share of the wallet. This was not the case at all. Instead, my account list was three active accounts and twenty-eight targets. That was it. While I was given some ramp up time, I will say there was no plan or help from management on the best way to take on this titanic task of business development. Only scrutiny and critique when things were deemed not up to snuff.

Pros

Company vehicle and gas card.

Cons

Everything else. Inept management. Poor compensation. Safety violations. Zero communication. Zero leadership. Lied to about salary. Deceptive hiring practices. You aren't paid for your first week of work. If you leave, you will not receive your forthcoming pay. "Managers" are a joke. "Safety" is emphasized, and you will spend endless hours watching safety videos, but when a dangerous safety issue occurs, don't expect any leadership. If the ratings included a "0" I would have selected that. On a daily basis, Managers are violating the published safety regulations. The need to be a 'buddy' to your team far outweighs any proper leadership abilities. Lack of leadership is pervasive. Higher ups allow the complete ineffectiveness of the local manager to continue, despite many employees voicing concerns about the total lack of professionalism and leadership. They will continue to try and hire inexperienced 'yes' men, rather than professional sales people with integrity. This is the case all the way to HR at corporate. Run, don't walk away from this company.
