Pros
Pay is pretty good for a general labor job. People are, for the most part friendly and easy going, but like any other job, there are always a couple bad apples in the bunch.
Cons
You're almost guaranteed to work 3rd shift or maybe 2nd, regardless of what your temp agency tells you. Working 3rd shift and having any real social or family life is probably the worst part. You're either sacrificing sleep, time with your kids, time with significant others, or your nights at the bar. Oh ya you'll be told you have to work at least 1 weekend or every other weekend per month, but you'll actually work every weekend but one per month.
