Pros

1. Great brains to work with 2. Good learning curve but will soon fade out in 6 months.

Cons

1. Poor management. Half of the senior management team left the company in last 6 months will give you the overall picture of it. 2. No work life balance. They use inefficiency card to let you work long hours without any additional benefits 3. Horrible work culture - They have fun activities and if you are active in it, your manager accuses you of not showing enough ownership at work as you have time for fun activities. 4. No employee benefits - Also they loot your variable bonus by delaying it intentionally for 6 months and bringing in an additional clause that you shouldn't be in notice period to receive bonus. Else, simply they will fire you using your performance or Corona outbreak as an excuse to avoid giving you variable bonus.

Working hours are terrible

Pros

1. Great learning experience in the beginning of the career 2. Recruits people only from IITs, NITs and BITS. As a result, you get to work with a smart bunch

Cons

1. They claim to be a meritocratic environment but most people are not even given enough opportunities to prove themselves. For some reason, if you're not perceived as capable in the first few months, you will never be moved out of projects with monotonous Excel work. 2. There is absolutely no work life balance. They try to pass it off saying quality outputs, client first attitude. Employees are not even given half the importance given to the clients. 3. Salary is too low considering the long hours of work that goes into the deliverables. 4. Office politics - Some of the senior managers are so silly and try to show off every little thing they do to the CEO. They sometimes pick on the analysts in the team to feel good about themselves. 5. Very little lunch conversations that happen mostly involve one or many senior managers bullying an analyst

Pros

Merilytics only recruits students from BITS, IIT and NIT, so the people you are around with are smart and motivated. As a fresher, it exposes you to Business Intelligence and imparts you with technical skill and necessary business skills. Good place to network with like minded people and grow faster (company being in its early stages).

Cons

The Company has a predatory approach. It recruits students (off campus) from BITS and alike colleges and pays them less compared to the general market standards. They fire more than 40% employees in the first year without paying their variable pay. Variable pay (bonus) will be paid in September instead of march and most employees are fired by may denying their variable pay. Unethical behaviour when it comes to notice period. No benefits like Insurance or Travel Allowance. Paavan Choudary (CEO) has a management degree from Columbia University and still runs his company in a highly unethical manner to make money
