Pros
Relatively easy job at a secure installation. Lots of room for overtime. Coworkers are easy going. Staff are easy to work with. Armed security license is a plus.
Cons
Laughable pay raises(.20c/yr). 12 hour shifts based on relief and staffing. Constant overtime 54+ hour work weeks. Yearly contracted training that falls on most of your off days. Mediocre healthcare that’s expensive($450+/mo). Initial training is out of pocket($500+). Called in to work EVERY week if not every other. Schedule is inconsistent as well as hours. Staffing is non-negotiable. Drive is very far for most people 45+ minutes.

Sense of fulfilment provided by the work itself.
Cons
Poor leadership that breaks their promises, fails to pay employees a living wage, lies and bullies employees into staying.
