Pros

A good place to build your book if you're early in your career. Good location. Free snacks and lunches. Good name based on San Francisco studio, certainly won't hurt your resume.

Cons

Nebulous feedback means a lot of work gets redone or abandoned. Overworked creative leadership that is inaccessible except when they want to be. This adds up to lot of long long wasted hours. Very inefficient process overall. Small office is a popularity club and a lot of backtalking. Not much room for personalities that differ from what's already there. Limited opportunities for advancement even for those who absolutely deserve it.

Pros

- Method employs some very talented people. - No layoffs to date. - Some people care about your well being outside of work. - Decent pay. - Steady paycheck. - Some work/life balance.

Cons

- A handful of the legacy Skookum and Method employees are incredibly arrogant and think they are "gods gift to technology". - A very clique-centric culture. If you're a newbie at this company, good luck finding new relationships. - The work load is not sustainable. Method seesaws on hiring freezes and hiring all the time. From Sales to Delivery, there are people on staff who are easily doing the work of 2-3 people. - No healthy commission structure, even though there are people managing multi-million dollar portfolios and/or have a path to brining in millions. Do you really expect to retain talent without incentivizing them? - Method is owned by Hitachi & GlobalLogic. GlobalLogic has more involvement in Method's day to day business and each day I get the sense they are sinking their teeth into business ops more and more. - GlobalLogic brings that "APAC" work mentality to the table, which is do anything and everything at all costs and when we tell you to jump, you ask "How high?" - GlobalLogic is constantly winning business by racing competitors to the bottom dollar. - It's always a song and dance when it comes to who gets credit on sales opps.

Pros

The design team and leadership is very intentional. The career path is clearly outlined and one 1 on 1's with managers always seem to be fruitful. I feel like I can contribute and seek new opportunities within the organization. The work life balance is great, and I am able to remote work from virtually anywhere. Benefits are good. I feel like Method is pretty stable and well positioned for fluctuations in the economy, since we are a subsidiary of Hitachi. Doesn't feel like a cut-throat, hyper competitive consultancy when getting staffed on a project.

Cons

Starting to feel like Method is a small cog in the Global Logic machine, which is itself a cog in Hitachi. Cultural erosion has increasingly been brought up by some longer tenured employees as an area of concern, but culture is what you bring and contribute to. Some of the long term projects are a little stale, but can be a nice change of pace from loosely defined, sprint based projects.
