Full-time staff get quarterly bonuses or profit-sharing of $1000+. Only patients admitted to the hospital are under care of one of the surgeons here. Predominantly, spinal surgery, ortho, some ENT and podiatry surgery center. Easy assignments of 4:1 for Med/Surg RN's, 2:1 for ICU RN's. Only 3 ER rooms with not plans on expanding.
Cons
Rate of pay is low in comparison to most hospitals in the DFW area. PRN staff do not get bonuses or pay increases.
