Pros
Great benefits Pay is higher than other colleges Difficult to get fired (MCC would rather they make you quit instead)
Cons
• The negatives are starting to outweigh the very few positives MCC has • Either HORRIBLE or absolutely NO Communication within/between departments (some depts are better than others) • A lot of departments/employees can get away with doing absolutely nothing and if you report it to management, nothing happens! •Management only cares to implement ideas/suggestions that benefit them (and that’s questionable). They’ll ask employees for suggestions that they WILL ignore and do the exact opposite of OR they’ll ask for feedback after they’ve already started planning implementation strategies for something no one wants - just to tell you (in other words) suck it up because it’s already a done deal! •MCC trains up employees to be a whole bunch of smile-in-your-face backstabbing coworkers (worse in certain depts) •Don’t try to do a good job or go above and beyond at MCC! They will only pile more stuff on you until your workload is unbearable and then they’ll nitpick and complain about you not getting stuff done and ultimately rob of your joy (don’t let them see you smile)! • They only promote and truly value employees who are unqualified and those who will help to spread confusion at MCC and make students go through hoops and hurdles for a little education • They selectively discipline employees (only the ones who actually try to do a good job and not misguide students) • MCC DOES NOT (I repeat) DOES NOT really want to change for the better they just go through the motions. They would rather get a whole NEW SIS system, build new buildings, create more ineffective committees/teams, etc., just to ignore the root of the problem(s) • If you’re a good/qualified worker that cares about students and how well you do your job - just know that you won’t be considered as much for promotions or opportunities like those who don’t care at all, are unqualified, and don’t do well at their jobs!
