Pros
The Co workers, most anyway but had your share of back stabbers.
Cons
I don't know what planet the last reviewer lived on but he did not work at Metters. First off they have not offered a 401k since 2010. So that is not true. They were blackballed by every vendor in the south and more b/c they don't pay the bills. I was a lead engineer for them for over 2 years and what should be getting parts in 4 to 6 weeks was 4 to 6 months. If you made a mistake you were screwed. No chance to retrofit at all. They also ask employees to bring their OWN tools to install on site if some broke or got lost they refused to cover them. For me it was 300 worth and another engineer on my project was 500. I could go on and on but just a week ago they shut the doors. Filled for bankruptcy bounced checks on employees not once but twice and owes everyone there 6 weeks pay plus,PTO. They also took money out for medical dental etc. But did not pay the insurer so all out off work right now has nothing. This problem starts, with the CEO himself who lied to all employees saying he personally would get the funds in. Nice letter but nothing was done. This owner belongs in jail. They had no clue how manufacturing works and ALWAYS was making it impossible to accomplish your projects. The headquarters in VA does software not mechanical builds for the government. I do hope a class action suit comes down on them for what they have done to employees both past and so called current. Heck they even had purchasing use their OWN credit cards to buy parts. I am shocked any would do so knowing full well they can get screwed and left with the bills for them and their family. This, was not a company that cared one bit about ANY employees. I want to know where the millions that was paid to them go. The owner should loss his home and everything inside plus jail time as he was full well involved in what was going on their. Good people raked over the coals, while the CEO banks the money. Forgot to mention them staffing a contact house 3/4s of a million this past summer. The contract agency had to pull all their workers out and, again lost pay. Again I could write in detail what I saw for 2 years and never in 40 yrs in this trade have,I seen anything like it. I sure hope I never do again.
