Pros

The only pro is that you will be able to learn a good amount of advanced techniques that will make you more appealing to your next employer.

Cons

Do not value nursing staff. Do not give bonuses. Do not give raises. Do not give shift differentials. Do not give weekend pay. Do not care about work/life balance. No way to advance to different positions. Required to do clinical instruction for CVM students. Doesn't provide onboarding training for specialty interns or seem to screen them at all.

Pros

Loved working at MSU. Loved co-workers, faculty and staff. Work was meaningful. Working with students was rewarding.

Cons

As a faculty member you are expected to carry a heavy load and work independently with little opportunities for formal training or mentorship.

Pros

Staff is incredibly understanding of schedules for students, and will build your work schedule around you class schedule.

Cons

Becoming a tour guide is painful. The training for it was redundant and unhelpful. You learn as you do.

Pros

Worked to build a full time or part time schedule around classes.

Cons

Pay was poor for an entry level job with little training in regards to the safety of the work. Other local entry level jobs were paying from 14-16$/hr at the time.

Pros

Excellent school for graduate studies, healthcare is very good, and time off is reasonable.

Cons

Many training sessions that seem excessive, salary is really only enough to afford a one bedroom apartment and bare necessities.
