      Pros

      Sadly, there are no pros to this company. Upper management doesn't have a clue what they are doing. This is by far the most unprofessional company I have ever worked for.

      Cons

      They do not give annual reviews so you never get a raise. During the interview phase they flat out tell you that if you want to make a lot of money that this isn't the company to do it at. No chance for promotion unless someone dies. Very unprofessional executive and management team. If your're not part of one of the 2 families you have no chance or say so on what happens. It is definitely not somewhere I would recommend.

      More freedom than most companies

      Cons

      Less pay. Company was sold to an investment firm that lost a lot of money during COVID. The investors are looking for returns and the company is cutting a lot of cost including valuing cost cutting over the value of work and only giving promotions to former TA employees, the previous company of the current CEO. They value short terms goals so if you have a long term vision now is not the time to work here.

      The employees are the best part of working at this company.

      Cons

      Rather than hire new, skilled employees who have the experience and knowledge to push the company forward Micromeritics will instead hire “within the family” whether they have experience or not. No growth or movement forward because of this and the infrastructure of the company needs work.
