Pros

Legal Aid has some of the best attorneys I have ever had the privilege to know and work with. I worked there for nearly 6 years and the only reason I left was to go to law school because they inspired me with the work they do on a daily basis. The St. Cloud office has a wonderful team. It is a small enough office where you get to know everyone you work with pretty well and it feels like a work family. The work itself is very rewarding and challenging, especially for those with second language skills. There is also an awareness of trying to increase diversity and a focus on self-care, which is a blessing when working with low income clients who often have experienced trauma. Overall great organization, great people and great benefits. Management really cares about their people.

Cons

The parking meters in front of the office are a pain, especially if you forget to feed the meter and get ticketed, and the parking lot can be a bit of a hike in the winter.
