Great place to work

Pros

Opportunities for advancement between/within departments, really friendly co-workers, leadership seems to care about employees and the hospital itself.

Cons

Hard to get decent raises because it's a not-for-profit. The religious background of St. Thomas can be overbearing and in your face if you're not religious. Those who aren't Christian might feel out of place sometimes.

Pros

Most of the providers and co-workers were good to work with

Cons

Too much stress, management always wanted more than was possible from a human, company couldn't care less about their employees, ruled from another state w/o a clue of what was going on in the clinics, the on site manager had her favorites and allowed them to run clinic, was a blessing to be gone from there! It could be a pretty, nice, pleasant, and convenient office with the right changes.

Pros

This is a great hospital to work for in a great community. The managers are competent and are easy to get along with.

Cons

Like all businesses in this economic environment the bottom line is what matters. It's all about cutting costs and doing more with less.
