Pros

There are none, but let recap a previous Pro submitted by a former employee…..It was once said that you could deficate in the lobby and not get fired. This remains true and not really positive for those employees who have any level of competence. This allows Middough to maintain the dead wood that is constantly tarnishing the companies reputation, losing significant amounts of money in the form of project losses due to poor management, and ticking off employees that have a level of competence in either engineering or management.

Cons

No leadership - company operated on a smoke and mirrors philosophy to protect special employees that are incompetent. Zero accountability amongst the entire senior management team. Project losses in the 100k+ range without consequences for the managers. Senior managers care more about budget and schedule than they do about Quality. Clients beware - senior management requests employees to bill to projects to cover overhead and activities directly unrelated to project work. This approach is completely unethical.

Pros

Good location. Easy to find the building. Nice restaurants around. But this is not enough

Cons

Any person giving positive feedback is a “BIG” liar. I have been working at this “FAKE” company for several years and have “ZERO” positive review. To be honest, some of the people are very nice and easy to get along with (I mean employees). This place is a shelter for people with low performance. An advice from an employee at Middough: “STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO LEARN, GROW, AND IMPROVE YOUR SKILLS.” There are no raises at your anniversary. The highest I have seen is ~3%. No matter how much hard work you put in, you end up with a standard raise. Upper management gives the raises before reading your performance review report (That’s a shame). They don’t know and care about your performance. Benefits are horrible. I don’t see a bright future here. Professionalism is scarce in this place. There is no way to grow at Middough. They keep hiring none qualified people from other competitors. If you know someone here (executives), you are safe and no one will touch you.

Pros

The Oak Brook office building is nice. The office location is easily accessible from the Interstate, with numerous food options for lunch.

Cons

No true company vision and leadership - The executive management team consists mainly of engineering dropouts with zero skill to lead and run a business. The business development strategy relies heavily on asking folks on the floor for client contacts / leads. The overall business strategy consists of a bunch of blow hards constantly stroking their own egos in closed door meetings, accomplishing little to nothing for the benefit of the company and its employees. The future focus consists of identifying the next client that the company will take advantage of, to compensate for the losses / lawsuits on other ongoing projects, and provide the financial support to maintain the unacceptable level of overhead at the top.
