Poor Management, Avoid working at this company like the plague.

Pros

The only Pro we have is discounts on comic books, and the 2nd pro we did have was a great working team.

Cons

As the year progressed we lost a lot of great members of the team. Management has failed to recognize that we were dreadfully understaffed. Considering this company makes millions a year, it seems to have difficulty with paying to have an extra employee at the tiny hourly rate it offers. The CEO fails to realize, that its dictatorship like management, is it's present demise for moral in all departments. The "just get it done" mentality does not work in this environment. Every week they shave off hours out of people's pay, hoping they don't notice, which in turn saves the company hundreds of dollars. This is unfair working conditions. It's impossible to take care of your family if you're paid on such small wages.

Pros

Some of the employees are great people along with the management. The discount was awesome. Working in a place that sells everything you collect is always fun

Cons

While some of the other employees were awesome there were a few who hazed any newcomers as if this was commission based. Pay was awful, for all the work you have to do with unloading trucks 4 days a week you would expect more. Talking to customers for too long was something they hated. Coming from jobs that worked around customer service you would think that would be a key factor but they advise you to not speak to customers for more than 2 minutes. If you live far expect to get home between 1-2 am .

Pros

The draw is the industry itself. Nerd culture, art, etc. That’s about it.

Cons

Outdated in just about every way imaginable. While most companies are finding ways to move forward, they move back. Doesn’t matter how hard you work or how good you are at what you do - especially if you’re not male Virtually no moving up opportunities
