Pros

I do believe that everyone at this company is well-intentioned and truly does want to do the best for the client population.

Cons

I was the only social worker on staff with my license and there was no clinical social worker so I was unable to obtain my hours, despite the promise that there would be a LCSW on site. There was no shadowing period -- I was thrown into an office on my first day and I guess just expected to know what to do? The majority of the social work position is unit inspections which was not disclosed in the job description or during the interview process, nor is it social work. I was promised salary pay and signed a contract with the agreed upon salary, then was given a new contract with hourly pay while I was onboarding. Moral of the story, if you want to be a social worker this is not the place to work.

Pros

Its a great feeling to work for a non profit organization who is striding to help and end homelessness. They don't just talk about it but actually hiring the right candidate to help and find permanent housing for this group of forgotten people. Everyone deserves what they can call home and sleep or shower without any fears like some shelters or even have their personal possessions stolen. Keep up with the good work Midway Life. Lots of success and hopefully together we can end homelessness in year 2030.

Cons

There are none I can think of.
