Pros
Nice co workers, they helped keep the environment grounded
Cons
Owner didn't explain the nature of the job truthfully until the first day.
Pros
The people I met were overall very positive. You play games and start out every day feeling super energetic and uplifted. There are so many different kinds of people, and they all come with different backgrounds and stories. There isn't one type of person that fits the mold of eventually becoming a boss and executive. You also have the potential to make a lot of money (in the future!!) and the entry level position you start out in is only temporary if you can get through it. You become much more confident and much more of a leader.
Cons
It is VERY time consuming. People are able to do this while having kids, but I personally don't know how they do it. The money doesn't always meet the time you put in, as you are going door to door and working off of commission. Another thing is that you can get people to sign up for the product, and then they can eventually cancel their order. This means that the amount of money you THINK you are going to get, doesn't always match up. There was also a lot of usage of the word "retarded" in the work place and I was not a fan of it. They also played loud inappropriate music, and if you didn't like it, you couldn't really say anything about it. The boss was very friendly with the people who had been working there for a longer amount of time, and I think this kept them from really disciplining them. There was also a lot of driving, and you did not get compensated for gas. There was also a lot of delay with some things, especially due to the fact that in the middle of the week, one of the team members could just be gone forever. I also did not enjoy the fact that they did not seem to respect your outside life. Dinners every night after work, as well as team nights every week. You are already working 9-10 hour days, but they dogged you if you didn't go out with them afterwards. I think this job is great for people who want to work, work, work and work some more. But if you can't give your all to this company, it won't work. You can move up and become a very big boss but you have to be willing to pay the price.
Pros
Since I started here at Midwest Elite Group a few months ago, I have already witnessed a Co-Worker be promoted to an Assistant Manager role as well as experienced my own growth within the company already. I also really enjoy the energy and excitement others in the office have. It makes coming into work everyday fun knowing i'm going in to work with people I now consider my friends instead of just Co-workers.
Cons
At the moment there are no real cons that come to mind.
