Pros

Growing company that takes food safety extremely seriously.

Cons

This is a family owned organization and two of the sisters mistreat a lot of people. They get upset way to easily and yell, scream and swear about the smallest of things. When I worked there in HR one of the owners would just come into the HR office, close the door and start swearing and making fun of her own employees. They pay was below market value, we were paying CDL Drivers in Kenosha 18/hour and we were wondering why we couldnt get any decent drivers or even enough drivers. The owners clearly favor certain people and are not open to hearing ideas from employees. They have very few managers and lots of very young people (they dont go against the grain as older Managers/Adults do) and they are easier to pay. I was shocked when they told me that they have never verified past employment for DOT drivers which is a DOT violation. The owners also hire undocumented people and just put them under the other company name so that they do not have to e-verify them. Most employees only work 8am-4pm with a 30 minute paid lunch (or unpaid, they could never figure this out, in Chicago they have paid lunches at 8 hour days and in Kenosha they have 8.5 hour days and unpaid lunches.) People always hear the Owner screaming and yelling, her office isnt well sound proofed and you can hear her from almost anywhere in the facility screaming and ranting about things. One day the owner complained that it was costing her 150 bucks a day in gas to drive her Mercedes Benz G Wagon from Chicago to Kenosha (that says it all)

Pros

Great place to go to work everyday, it was really nice working for a family owned business instead of a corporation. The Fitzgerald’s are very down to earth and fun to be around. The days are very busy which kept me satisfied and made the days go by quick. Also great potential for growth here! I was definitely satisfied working here.

Cons

Not the best location to go out and get lunch. There is a 30 minute paid lunch but their aren’t great food places close by to get a quick lunch, so I just brought my lunch each day. They do have great vending machines in the office at least.

Pros

It's employment, they pay your check on time

Cons

-Owners all talk in circles, never give concrete decisions and flip flop constantly -Management swings wildly between micromanagement and independent work expectations -HR and Management are all gossips, spread private information about employees to other coworkers -Family of owners make wildly inappropriate comments about sex, race, and religion and attempt to play it off as "only joking" -Owners and Management belittle employees in front of others -Mask wearing and COVID precautions were an absolute joke, some management never wore masks while in closed meeting spaces -Favortism runs rampant -Pressure against taking and using vacation and PTO -Hiring process takes months, don't expect quick answers back -Chronically understaffed even before COVID with expectation of staff to pick up the slack without pay or title changes -Constant turn over rates speak for themselves, if you make it a year here you're a "senior" employee -No work/life balance, owners are there at 3am and leave late so they expect everyone to give their lives to this company as well
