Pros

I have loved every minute working at Milkywire, it is full of incredible, lovely people who all share a mission to improve our climate and nature prospects around the world. I liked how dynamic it was and that there is no hierarchy, everyone has their voice heard and you're trusted with responsibility from the get go.

Cons

Due to the start-up nature, you do a real variety of tasks and projects, but I love that.

Pros

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Milkywire. Due to its nature of being a small startup my learning curve has been steep. I have developed my skills in all areas strategic and operational in building a business. I have especially gained knowledge in what it takes to work in a tech organisation and building a tech product. The colleagues are fantastic, ambitious and good at their job. Everyone works for a common purpose with common values and you can tell. However, the team also prioritises having fun together and having a good time at work. Milkywire has an ambitious vision and purpose and is paving the way to build solutions to pressing issues in climate and nature, where frankly there is little time to act. For anyone with an entrepreneurial spirit and can do attitude is a great place to thrive. Your contribution will make a real difference in the organisation and there will seldom be a dull moment. All in all, I highly recommend Milkywire as an employer.

Cons

Milkywire is a startup with an ambitious vision and an iterative way of working. It differs in character from an established, large company. Thus, for anyone who prefers a slower pace and routine job, Milkywire might not be for you.

Pros

Help save the planet together with a great bunch of people! All the work autonomy you need, want and then some. Work-life-balance and "come as you are" culture are top notch but depends on department. Opportunities to interact with a lot of people in the NGO sector. Warm feeling in the gut of doing something great with your time at work other than maximizing corporate profits.

Cons

Questionable business model in constant flux historically. Financial future stabilizing but still unclear, cut staff size in half last year to reduce costs. Wants to be a tech company but I'm not sure it can be (at least yet).
