Pros

The building that houses the company has walls, a roof, electricity, running water and air conditioning. Situated near by is a Starbucks, and an excellent super market.

Cons

This has all the hallmarks of an excellent opportunity except it isn't. The CEO is racist, opinionated, abusive and incredibly hard to work with. It has to be experienced to be believed.

You’re right about one thing. We do love and take advantage of having a Starbucks and an excellent supermarket within walking distance! To the other statement, all we can say is that racism and abuse of any sort are simply not tolerated in this workspace at any level and, frankly, never have been. Opinionated? Yes, we would gladly agree with that statement and believe if CEOs were to take a personality profile, “opinionated” would surely be a common denominator. Opinions are welcome and encouraged in every team member at MPR!

Terrible Environment

Pros

Small firm so you are able to wear many hats. Office facility is nice.

Cons

Owner is racist, verbally abusive & extremely opinionated. If you aren't Republican, don't even think about working here. One week vacation until your 3rd year. Low pay. No 401k. High turnover. Many empty promises to employees and clients.

Admittedly, MPR is a fast-paced, high-energy environment. If that is not your preferred speed, it may not be the best fit for you. The people at our agency (from top to bottom) genuinely care for and support one another. Racism, verbal abuse and scare tactics are simply not tolerated at any level and frankly, never have been. To the charge of “extremely opinionated”, a few of us might need to plead guilty here :). You’d be hard pressed to find a work environment where there aren’t a few strong opinions. Unless you work completely alone, perhaps?? Regardless, we thank you for your candid feedback and wish you well in your future endeavors.

Soulless and Manipulative

Pros

It helped to pad my resume I guess. However, medical marketing-- especially that for elective, cosmetic procedures-- is not only soulless but operates in a realm that is borderline immoral.

Cons

Prepare to have your spirit crushed by work that is of little substance or worth. Enjoy trying to convince people they need to improve themselves to aspire to some Stepford Wives beauty standard.

We love medical marketing! It’s an honor to help medical professionals put their best foot forward and to make complicated medical procedures and technologies more approachable and less scary to consumers. We believe all work has worth and we especially value our team members’ work on behalf of our clients.
