      Pros

      Milliken is a private company with a rich history in textiles. They are one of the few remaining “high tech” suppliers in the USA.

      Cons

      Many of their markets like shoes and garments have gone offshore and are not likely to return.

      Stable, diversify company able to weather economic ups and downs

      Cons

      Very slow pace of change due to hierarchical nature of the organization. Difficult to make an impact quickly. Very little compensation growth year over year. Company markets itself as "worlds most ethical company" but employee benefits are average at best and not very progressive (12 week parental leave, 2 weeks PTO, insurance is expensive).
